Import Export Code

An Import Export Code (IEC) is a 10-digit code necessary for Indian import/export businesses. It's issued by the DGFT, Ministry of Commerce, and It requires filing or renewal. Importers need IEC to clear customs and make payments to foreign banks, while exporters need it to send shipments and receive payments. The IEC Number is essential for any importer/exporter operating in India.

Apeda

Apeda or Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority is a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It was established in 1986 to promote the export of agricultural and processed food products from India.Every person who is an exporter of Scheduled Products shall obtain APEDA registration. A person can be registered either as a merchant exporter or as a manufacturing exporter.

Spice Board

The spices board of india acts as a regulatory body in charge of promoting Indian spices in the foreign market. It is a division of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It served as a conduit between foreign buyers and Indian spice suppliers. It is mandatory to have a spices board registration certificate with the masala board for every producer or a businessperson who deals with exports with spices. Moreover, the Spices Board Act of 1986 mandates the incorporation certificate to conduct the import and export formalities. If anyone involved in the trading of the spices without the spice board certificate may be arrested and imprisoned for upto a year.Anyone who exports the 52 specified spices and cardamom must get the Spice Board's Certificate of Registration as Exporter of Spices (CRES), whether they are a manufacturer or a retailer.

FIEO

The Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, established the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) to supervise and promote India's exports. The council, which has its main office in New Delhi, stands in for the entrepreneurial spirit of Indian business people on the international stage. The FIEO Membership works actively to bring up the issues and challenges faced by exporters with the relevant agencies in order to have them resolved as soon as possible. Its main objective is to help members take their businesses global.An exporter that registers with FIEO will benefit from both the Foreign Trade Policy benefits as well as FIEO's services, facilities, credentials, and global reach. An exporter can still sign up on FIEO Membership under its Individual Exporter Category even if they do not want to obtain the RCMC and claim benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy.

Fssai Registration

The Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (India) This act establishes the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and regulates food safety and standards in India. BIS Registration

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is India's National Standards Body. It was established in 2016 under the BIS Act. BIS develops standards, marks goods, and certifies quality. It also ensures that products and services meet Indian Standards (IS). BIS operates a scheme for marking precious metals and jewelry. BIS registration is a thorough process. It ensures that products meet quality and safety standards set by BIS. Manufacturers follow the application procedure for BIS registration. This helps them understand the steps they need to take. The conformity assessment checks if products meet the relevant standards. The Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS) makes it mandatory for certain products to undergo BIS registration before entering the Indian market. Scheme-I and Scheme-II outline the requirements for the ISI mark and product registration. The ISI mark is a certification given by BIS. It shows that the product meets standards. Product testing, certification costs, BIS licenses, and standards compliance are all important parts of the process. Certification bodies authorized by BIS assess products to ensure they meet the necessary criteria.
